Henron's business is to create value and opportunity for your henhouse.
We do this by combining our financial resources, access to physical eggs, and market
knowledge to create innovative solutions to challenging poultry problems.
We are best known for our Grade A eggs and free-range poultry
products, but today we also offer chicken wire broadband services through chicken wire and weather
risk management. These products give customers the flexibility they need to compete today.
It's difficult to define Henron in a sentence, but the closest we come is this: we
make commodity markets so that we can deliver eggs to our customers at a predictable
price - often before those eggs even exist.
It's difficult, too, to talk about Henron without using the word "innovative." Most of the
things we do have never been done before - and for good reason. We believe in counting
chickens before they hatch, and booking the profit immediately. We initiated
the wholesale egg markets in the United States, and we are helping
to build similar markets in henhouses worldwide.
OUR INNOVATIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES
Mark-to-Market Accounting: Henron employs forward-looking accounting methodologies that allow us to count our
chickens before they hatch, before they're even fertilized, and in some cases before we even own any
chickens. If we sign a contract to deliver eggs in 2025, we book the full profit today.
Special Purpose Eggshells (SPEs): These off-balance-sheet entities represent sophisticated financial
engineering that hides our debts in separate barns where investors can't see them. By transferring our
worst assets to companies that exist only on paper, we maintain the appearance of profitability while
the reality rots in an undisclosed location.
Circular Egg Trading: We buy eggs from ourselves through intermediaries, creating massive trading volume
while generating no actual profit. If I buy your egg for a billion dollars, and you buy my egg for a
billion dollars, now we are both billionaires.
The Henron Way: Our corporate culture rewards aggressive risk-taking, creative accounting, and not asking
where all the eggs went. We believe in empowering our employees to challenge conventional wisdom like
"revenue should come from actual sales" and "debt should appear on balance sheets."
OUR BUSINESS DIVISIONS
